Tackling the challenges that arise when the natural and built environments coincide requires not only technical expertise and practical experience, but a solutions-focused mindset and a degree of determination. URS’s team of soil and earth scientists, geologists, geochemists, geophysicists and hydrogeologists have established a strong track record over many decades of delivering the innovative thinking required for sustainable solutions to often rigorous environmental challenges.
From preliminary inspections through to the design and implementation of tailored on site remedial technology, the contaminated land specialists work with government, industry and commercial clients to assist with regulatory and business needs. Our groundwater resource development and landfill expertise is applied to an increasing number of investigations and environmental challenges.
We work alongside major oil companies to provide both the environmental science and on the ground practical support on projects nationwide, including the monitoring and rehabilitation of underground petroleum storage tanks.
We have been assisting the mining and minerals sector across a broad range of assignments and continue to advise local, regional and central government on policy and project issues.
